I “like” the Internet

May 4, 2010 by Eric Friedman

I think I have the latest FB feature understood – FB now allows a “like” button on the ENTIRE Internet. What about stuff you don’t like? How long before every social object has at least one “Like” in the new system?

The implications for the web to be filled with semantic information and meta data are great – and so are the benefits. But I am left wondering about how every last website, comment, and activity that gets any heat online will end up in the FB web graph, used for targeting and intent in a single network.
