Blink and you missed it

January 3, 2008 by Eric Friedman

In case you missed it today;

Scoble got booted from Facebook!

Scoble got reinstated to Facebook!

I believe the best outcome from these events are that people are now thinking and talking about how the social graph works, who owns the data, and who has permission to do things with it.

I think it is great that Plaxo is creating a product that can mine the data that your friends opted into providing to you when the befriended you on a social network. The ramifications of todays events will spawn conversations that will inevitably bring us closer to the open social graph and beyond.

I hope we can all learn that pushing the envelope, innovation, and challenges can bring us closer to our goal.

Nobody ever changed the world by being status quo.
