Sony has done a great job of advertising different
Checkout their new Bravia Commercial: (originally found here)
This is the second commercial using the same idea – basically going above and beyond the “normal” commercial ideas and doing something extraordinary. I think the innovation from the first ad (see below) shows just how you can capture peoples interest with a cool idea. For those that do not know the story; Sony filmed this commercial in San Francisco and only aired the commercial overseas. This spawned an excellent viral video that covered the globe and was posted on youtube and multiple video sites in only a few days. This spawned the Sony site Bravia-Advert and became a global phenomenon.
Original Bravia ad (aka The bouncing balls advertisement)
This commercial is about 2 minutes 30 seconds of the balls bouncing with only a simple message at the end…”Colour….like no other”
This then spawned a fan tribute (youtube link), “the making of” the actual Sony Bravia ad, and of course shorter TV friendly versions.
(I am trying something new here with the above links. I figure this will show the above mentioned bloggers my site, as well as introduce my readers to some bloggers that I enjoy reading. As always, let me know your thoughts.)
