I have been following the CrackBerry.com contest on “what would you do for a blackberry storm” for some time now.
The recent entries made me want to share some of the dedication and conviction of these current RIM customers and potential RIM customers.
Getting shot by 100 Paintballs
Getting a blackberry tatoo
Some people think that Apple has die-hard fans and I think this proves that Blackberry has some pretty motivated fans as well. (not even going to attempt to say who has the better fans
)
What would it take to make your customers or users this passionate about your service or product? Can you even set out ahead of time with this in mind? I am not so sure.
I think this type of user comes from some connection beyond just being satisfied with your product – really having an emotional connection to it.
In the end its about creating meaning via utility.
