Radiohead says “Set your own price” to fans

Radiohead recently announced their new album is for sale – and you can set the price of what you pay for it. Yes, seriously. You purchase the new Radiohead here.

Why is this a big deal?

Most people are deciding on a normal retail price with very few trying to buy it for a penny

Murray Chalmers

For the first time since their 2003 album Radiohead is taking things into their own hands. Definitely a story to watch develop as the real sales figures come out.

The fact that very few tried to buy it for a penny certainly proves that Radiohead’s music is worth shelling money out for. I thought it was a pretty big risk, considering that nobody has really done this sort of thing before. Then again, if your product has proven itself worthy, then people will still gladly pay good money for it. It’s like paying respect to the work of a master.
