Advertise Different: Audi Q7 – Streets of Tomorrow

Streets of Tomorrow

Audi has recently run their “Street of Tomorrow” campaign – and I love the song. For whatever reason it has been stuck in my head for a few days and I wanted to figure out what it is. (It looks like I am not the only one who thinks so)

Anyways, I think that finding the song associated with this commercial would be an easy task with the power of the search engines that are out there. As it turns out this was a very difficult process.

For those of you that are looking here is the information you probably want:

The song from the Audi Q7 Commercial “Streets of Tomorrow” is called Streets of Tomorrow sung by Carla vallet.

Here is a website that has the song in different formats available for play:
Carla Vallet – Streets of Tomorrow (I think its the official site and the last listing appears to be the “remix” used in the ad; Simon & Garbfunkel RMX)

Now with that out of the way – as a search marketer myself – I am left with a few questions;

How come there is no search campaign with this campaign?
As many people will turn to a search engine upon wanting more information; why is the portal site so poor? (check it out here)

This is the perfect campaign to run a search campaign alongside that will highlight the residual keywords that the consumer is left with; “audi” “q7″ “streets of tomorrow” “audi commercial” “audi song” etc. etc.. An easy task for Audi.

I give the commercial execution major points for using what is becoming a viral + catchy tune. I am left wondering where is the content regarding the site and consumers who want more information. For someone who is not in the market to buy a car, let alone a Q7, I will not be delving further to find out information. I will dislclose that I honestly have not been to car website in quite some time, so clearly there is something working…but its not quite all there.

This type of synergy is what marketers should be looking to execute and what clients need to start expecting. We no longer live in a society which likes to wait – and providing instant gratification through search is the perfect way to appease your potential customer base.

    Too bad I can't have access to see the campaign spot, it's not available anymore but I know about Audi's vision, they know how to make themselves heard, catching peoples attention is not a problem anymore and let's face it, with these cars you don't need big promotional investments, people become interested already…

    Wow I didn't realize the spot was down. All companies should have a place where these assets live online forever – even youtube would work.

    Thanks, I tried YouTube and it worked…

    I agree. This is and opportunity for Audi which is active even today.

    They should only do sustainable projects they can keep online. Sites are low maintenance enough and cost effective enough that they should live on forever online.
